Friday Flicks

Friday Flicks is a new weekly post I'm going to be trying out.

Every week I will choose a new release movie, watch it, then share what I thought about it with you guys!

THIS WEEK'S FRIDAY FLICK:

A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES

Matt Scudder (Liam Neeson), formerly part of the NYPD, now works as an unlicensed private detective. His latest client is a drug trafficker (Dan Stevens) whose wife was kidnapped and brutally murdered, and as Scudder delves deeper, he finds that the crime's sequence is the modus operandi of the perpetrators. Before they can strike again and destroy other lives, Scudder races through the back streets of New York to catch the killers, blurring the lines between lawful and criminal as he goes.

So, another movie based on a book that I have not read.. just not my type of genre for reading but so my zone for movies!!  Also, I love most everything that Liam Neeson is in, he just seems so badass!

This movie rings true to a lot of Neeson's roles but his character is a little more rough around the edges and he's done something in his past that makes me really kind of hate him.  The story takes place in 1999 so the way the movie was shot really makes it seem like an older movie.  There is some action but not like what I'm use to from Neeson's Taken series. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had liked Neeson's character more.

MY MOVIE RATING: B-

I would love to hear about movies that you have watched and what you thought about them, I'm always on the lookout for good ones (or warnings about bad ones)!
